Thought Provoker

Why Coaching is like a pencil.

First of all there is you. Nature or nurture, genetics or lifestyle you are who and what you are. Your values and core principles are pretty much set as are your natural born talents.

I see that as the container for all that you do or are about to do. It is the wood from which we can begin to construct your pencil.

Next comes the added knowledge from learning and skills from doing. You have had a myriad inputs from parents and family to the structure of school other education as well as your observation of what has gone on in the world around you.

I see that as the lead that has been tailored to fit whatever shape and size of pencil you are. Now you have all that you need to be who you want be in any of the dozens of roles you have in life.

But the pencil, though now equipped to deliver does nothing in this form. It is simply unused potential.

It must now be sharpened and applied.

The Coach is the perfect resource to help the pencil sharpen all the natural and learned talent it contains into a fully functional perfect tool. The  Coach also guides the newly functional tool into what it can do, where it’s potential lies, what it can attempt, how it can learn from previous actions to deliver improved actions, how it can maintain its sharpness and go on to ever better performance. Without limit.

Your performance is a direct result of your behaviour and your behaviour is determined by the application of your talent and your ambition. When guided by your Coach you have the opportunity to make that performance level the best you possibly can. In whatever field or activity you wish to apply it.

Whether coach or speaker the choice is as emotive as it is logical.

It is undeniable that the chemistry has to be right for the relationship to work and a positive rapport to be created whether engaging a speaker or a coach. That is why this web page is primarily video.

Nothing I can write about my background or delivery options is as relevant to you as being able to see how I deliver to conferences. Of course this cannot be done with coaching.

That is why I offer a “chemistry” session. If the type of clients with whom I have been working successfully is similar to your profile, then the next two steps will help you make the right decision.

Step 1 A phone call to clarify what you want and to discuss an outline brief and your criteria for selecting your coach.

Step 2 Is the chemistry meeting where we explore the reason you are looking for a coach. Then we explore your objectives, your expectations and how we can set up your coaching to achieve both of these.

You have no fee and no obligation for either of these steps. Now we set up your coaching programme.

My clients include business owners, Managing Directors, Directors and senior managers as well as project teams, from every sector of business and commerce, as well as in the Public Sector. They are based Europe wide and represent start ups to £billion plc.

So if that client profile is, or is about to be, similar to yours give me a call and we can set up step 1. This is a zero risk and zero cost decision.
